I just tried to login to facebook and it is redirecting to myspace.
A little sibling rivalry?
Always awesome to see someone from the hometown doing things! Male character is portrayed by Mike Powell, himself a musician and fellow Carthage graduate.
Great cinematography by Sam Gezari and direction by Daniel Stessen to say the least.
Check it out!
Came across a great site with some very informative php/jquery tutorials. http://www.sebastiansulinski.co.uk/
I was able to mock this up from following some of his videos, here.
Sebastian’s site has a wide variety of of some great tutorials. If you have the time you should check it out.
Recently Mike Haggerty of Western New York Airsoft, www.wnyal.org, had sent out a request for a poster for a few of his upcoming events. I jumped on the opportunity to produce the promotional pieces he was looking for.
Bitter Harvest II is the sequel to Bitter Harvest which was held in 2009. The scenario for the event is as follows,
“2 years after the infamous bitter harvest, both the rebellion and the corporation have decided to invest once again in the Poppies of Roshambodia. Aside from a minor debacle at the quarantine zone, that some hints at the Poppies so called regenerative properties, the value of the poppies has steadily risen.
Both sides are still looking for poppies in a new area of Roshambodia, the Verde plateau. The new face of the corporation is ASA (Associated Securities Asia) the subsidiary of the ASE (Associated Securities Europe) who were held accountable for the ruin of many small townships in Roshabodia. They have many open contracts looking for enemy combatants to help fill the openings from 2 years ago.
The rebellion is lead currently by a faction known as the Red Dawn Party, one of the more radical groups allied united the Command Council. They are looking to gain help from splinter groups in their ongoing fight to keep Roshambodia free from corporate misunderstandings.
The uniforms are tan for corporate, green for rebels.
There will be ammo restrictions and an intense need for Rosham bucks. If you have any old Roshambodian cash around bring it to the event for exchange for the new Rosham bucks.
You will need to be able to interact with vendors and others. There will be a safe area for you to handle taking the poppies in you find on the field, and purchase both recon and sniper elements on the field.
There is an ammo restriction to start the game off but as time goes by you will be allowed to pick up more.
If you attended the first BH you will an idea of the game dynamics. If not you are in for one of the most unusual games you will ever play.”

In order to convey the feel of the fictional country of Roshambodia, I wanted to use tropic vegetation and terrain. I figured the best way to achieve this was to find some photos that I could blend together to create the type of scene that I felt would portray this fictional place. |
| The end result was very strong environmentally but decidedly lacked the sense of conflict that would encourage excitement about the event. | ![]() |

Having the basic image designed I needed to add what I call the “Elements of Conflict”. |
|
I was quite pleased with how the fire came out but this proved to be the most time consuming process of this design. To complete the image I needed to inform the audience about the event. I used a “poster” approach to achieve this. |

I was almost finished at this point. I wanted to include some more graphical elements to polish the image. |
Overall I was very pleased with the final product of the assignment. Though it deviated slightly from the initial idea, I was able to capture my interpretation of the event and successfully convey the story to the audience.
